MGM National Harbor debuts new high limit gaming area13 February 2026(PRESS RELEASE) -- Last week, MGM National Harbor celebrated the grand opening of its newly expanded High Limit gaming area, a milestone evolution in luxury and sophistication for the resort’s gaming experience. The festivities included a ribbon cutting, remarks from MGM National Harbor’s Vice President of Casino Operations, Alexander Alvarado, and a traditional lion dance blessing to usher in prosperity and good fortune ahead of Lunar New Year. “The new High Limit Gaming area marks an exciting evolution of the MGM National Harbor casino floor and underscores our continued commitment to excellence, innovation, and elevated guest experiences,” said Alexander Alvarado, Vice President of Casino Operations at MGM National Harbor. “As we approach our 10th anniversary, this investment reflects how we’re building on a decade of success while continuing to deliver best-in-class experiences.” The expanded High Limit gaming area sets a new benchmark for premium gaming environments with the following additions: - 4,000 square feet of new gaming area added for a total of 14,000 square feet - A new slot room with approximately 110 slot machines (previously housed 55) - 19 table games and a new flex room for up to 8 additional tables - Completely renovated space with new wall coverings, carpet, crystal ceiling fixtures and entry chandelier Design & Construction Highlights New Flexible Gaming Room - Designed for adaptability, the new Flexible Gaming Room can be reconfigured to accommodate a variety of gaming layouts based on guest demand and promotional programming. - Lighted decorative millwork wall panels and natural stone detailing provide a refined architectural aesthetic. - Crystal ceiling fixtures highlight the pit areas, complemented by foldable partitions for seamless space transitions. High Limit Bar - A thoughtfully curated collection of premium spirits, exclusively available in High Limit. - Decorative metalwork, rich millwork, and stone accents define a contemporary, elegant design. - Backlit stone paneling adds warmth and visual depth. - Includes a dedicated service bar discreetly located behind the main bar for optimal guest service and efficiency. Main Table Games Salon - Enhanced with new custom purple felt cable coverings, wall coverings, carpet, and crystal lighting fixtures to create cohesion between existing and new areas. - A comprehensive furniture, fixtures, and equipment package introduces new pit stands, seating, trash receptacles, and additional furnishings across all High Limit areas, ensuring a cohesive and elevated design experience. New High Limit Slot Room - A grand chandelier serves as a dramatic centerpiece at the south entrance. - Architectural stepped ceilings and custom millwork columns create visual dimension. |
