MGM Macau ushers in Year of the Dog with festive offerings14 February 2018(PRESS RELEASE) -- To celebrate Chinese New Year, MGM Macau is ushering in the auspicious Year of the Dog with stunning decorations at Grande Praça, spectacular Lion Dance performances, exquisite dining experience and radiant spa treatments for all guests. Kick-start the new year with friends and family with a fortune-filled retreat at MGM Macau. Lucky rendezvous at Grande Praça Grande Praça has put on an extravagant Garden of Treasure, with hanging sparkling gems and jewels. Imperial Court Exquisite Banquet Imperial Court is commemorating the Year of the Dog with two specially crafted banquet menus and an exclusive Chinese New Year a-la-carte menu, available from 16 to 25 February, with auspicious symbolism for this season. The banquet menus incorporate ingredients that are auspicious, including the Wok-fried scallops, long clams and gan lan shoot with honey marinated Yunnan ham, crispy fried mashed taro cake stuffed with crabmeat and scallop topped with caviar, and barbecued suckling pig with glutinous rice. The price for the auspicious menus are priced at 11,880 MOP for 12 guests and 880 MOP per person, respectively. More importantly, fish represent prosperity in Chinese culture, hence, the oven-baked Patagonian 51 toothfish fillet with egg white and conpoy, as well as the steamed fish meat and shrimp dumplings, are some of the iconic Chinese New Year a-la-carte dishes that cannot be missed. Rossio Seasonal Buffet Rossio is known for offering a wide selection of Asian and international cuisines, fresh seafood and sweet treats. Between 16 and 18 February, the buffet line will serve a wide range of tempting seasonal favorites, including abalone double-boiled soup, lobster bisque with cognac, scallop salad with green curry dressing, roasted Omaha prime rib with mustard and roasted lamb leg with harissa. This year, Rossio will serve the traditional Lo Hei Salad, which symbolizes fortune and wealth for the new year, with an unlimited supply of Boston lobsters, French oysters, abalones and sashimi, bringing guests a tempting gastronomic journey. The Chinese New Year buffet is priced between 298 MOP and 498 MOP per person.
