MGM Grand Execs, Union Meet23 October 2003LAS VEGAS -- MGM Grand executives and union workers at the Strip's biggest hotel met Tuesday in the first round of contract negotiations. Negotiating committees from Culinary Local 226 and Bartenders Union Local 165 met Tuesday with MGM Grand bosses to seek a new deal to replace the three-year contract that took effect on Nov. 13, 2000. The current pact expires Nov. 12, and covers about 3,300 maids, food-service workers, porters and bartenders.
