Mexico chosen for IGCE 20076 February 2007HATBORO, Pennsylvania –- (PRESS RELEASE) -- The International Gaming Conference & Expo, (IGCE Europe), following very positive results from their two conferences of 2006, in San Jose, Costa Rica and Dublin, Ireland, has now scheduled its first gathering for May 7-9, 2007, in Cancun, Mexico. The chosen venue is the Fiesta Americana Condesa Cancun, possibly Cancun's finest resort. "After our successes in 2006," indicated Cynthia Pagano, Assistant Director of Conferences for the IGCE, a subsidiary of The Sports Network, the premier international sports wire service in the nation, "we focused on securing locales for North America and Europe, with an eye cast in the direction of yet another in the Far East for 2008, venues that would be our destinations for at least the next three years. Cancun is perfect, easy to reach, a five-star resort for our sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, attendees and we are now in the process of concluding Prague as our European setting with Bangkok, Thailand likely for our Far East offering in 2008. "It is blatantly apparent," she continued, "that the purpose, content, direction, quality of topics and speakers, as well as the distinctiveness, particular contributory and sought after attributes of sponsors and exhibitors is essential to our success but so, too, is the venue. While we are focusing on an informative, elucidating conference filled with candid exchanges, knowledgeable speakers and the coverage of current topics necessitating answers by all in attendance, we know that the atmosphere in which we hold our conferences is critical so we offer those attending an opportunity to network, interact and relax." The focus of the conference in Cancun is billed as "What's Next?" with an intention to attempt to determine the direction of the gaming and gambling industries in the U.S. and abroad, particularly off-shore. "In a society such as ours," Ms. Pagano continued, "where gambling is pervasive, lotteries are held in almost every state, there is an overflow of Indian casinos, Nevada is burgeoning and busting at the seams, wagering is a near obsessive pastime of the populace, odds are published in all of our media, the intention of the government to curtail the activity, with emphasis on the Internet, demands a multitude of questions and answers to determine what is next." Ms. Pagano pointed out that inquiries and registrations for the conference have already begun and an expert roster of speakers is underway at present, well-known and respected names from around the globe ... legal, financial, technical, governmental and others ... that will offer advice, opinions, direction and answers to "What's next?" Everyone wants to know ... is Asia the next frontier, will the U.S. finally legalize, regulate and tax Internet gambling ... opening the floodgates for Nevada and closing them for anyone else? Should you merge, sell, acquire, take the money and shut down? Will it be fantasy sports, mobile interactivity, positioning an acquisition by MGM Mirage or other anticipated entry over the next few years? "The answers," she concluded, "will be found in Cancun in May." |
