Merrill Lynch: Singapore Casinos Could Generate $2 Billion

SINGAPORE – As reported by the Channel News Asia: "The casinos in the two integrated resorts in Singapore could generate revenue of as much as $2 billion a year.

"That is the estimate given by US investment bank Merrill Lynch. Revenue from gaming activities at the Marina Bayfront resort is expected to bring in over US$1 billion - while turnover on Sentosa is forecast at about US$900 million.

"And these numbers are higher than earnings at Melbourne's Crown Casino or Macau's Sands and Wynn Resorts.

"…For Merrill, the stakes are high.

"It says turnover at the two casinos in Singapore combined could hit US$2 billion - bringing in even more money than popular casinos such as the Crown in Melbourne, or Sands in Macau…"
