Mega Moolah jackpot winner takes home 6.9 million euros

15 April 2016

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Microgaming announces another epic win on its progressive jackpot network, which is the largest in the industry having paid out over €574 million to date.

On Friday, April 8, a Spin Palace Casino player hit the Mega Moolah jackpot, taking home an astonishing €6,905,670.81. As with all Microgaming's progressive wins, the windfall will be paid out to the player in a lump sum.

"It is always an incredible feeling to have one of our players become an instant millionaire," said a Spin Palace spokesperson. "On behalf of everyone at Spin Palace, a massive congratulations to our winning player on their near €7 million fortune."

Microgaming made headlines in October 2015 when Betway UK player Jon Heywood won the GBP equivalent of €17,879,645.12, playing Microgaming's Mega Moolah. That win set a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the "Largest jackpot payout in an online slot machine game."

"It's not long since we were celebrating our historic and record-breaking win," said Microgaming Head of Casino John Quinn. "To be able to crown another millionaire so soon after is brilliant - congratulations to the lucky Spin Palace player."
