Mega Millions Rises to $106 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Countless Mega Millions players had their eyes on the prize in Tuesday's drawing. More than 520,000 tickets won prizes, including 7 tickets that each won $175,000 and 39 tickets that each won $5,000. No ticket matched all six Mega Millions numbers to take home the nation's largest jackpot, so that jackpot now rolls to an estimated $106 million for the Friday, June 3, 2005 drawing.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 05-13-22-37-38 and the Mega Ball number was 11.

Those 7 tickets that each won $175,000 did so by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were sold in Illinois (1), Massachusetts (1), Michigan (2), New York (1) and Texas (2).

Mega Millions players won more than $3.8 million in Tuesday's drawing. Here is a breakdown of the 524,616 winning tickets:

Mega Millions is played in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Officials in California have announced plans to join the fun later this year.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
