Mega Millions lottery grows17 May 2007NITED STATES -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Less than a week after a ticket purchased in Hawthorne, California won an estimated $112 million jackpot, Mega Millions excitement is building once again. A total of 347,151 tickets from coast to coast were winners in the Tuesday, May 15 drawing. Since no ticket matched all six numbers, the jackpot for the Friday, May 18, 2007 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $17 million. Two tickets came within a heartbeat of winning the jackpot in Tuesday's drawing. Each matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in California and New Jersey. The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 06-13-42-46-56 and the Mega Ball number was 42. Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time. |
