Mega Millions Keeps Growing

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- So you think nobody won Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing? Not so. Even without a jackpot winner, there were more than 250,000 winning tickets, amounting to more than $1.5 million in prizes. That includes two tickets that each won Mega Millions' second highest prize of $175,000 and 11 tickets that each won $5,000. The jackpot for the Friday, May 6, 2005 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated annuity value of $26 million.

The winning numbers in the May 3, 2005 drawing were: 07-17-42-46-52 and the Mega Ball number was 47.

The two tickets that each won $175,000 came within just one number of winning it all. They both matched the first five numbers and only missed the final Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in Ohio and Texas.
