Mega Millions Jackpot Up to $18 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Even though there was no jackpot winner in Friday's Mega Millions drawing, a lot of players still walked away winners. A total of 270,459 tickets from coast to coast won Mega Millions prizes; including five tickets that each won $175,000 and 15 tickets that each won $5,000. In fact, Mega Millions players won a total of $2,144,186 in Friday's drawing. Since no ticket matched all six numbers, the jackpot grows to an estimated $18 million for the Tuesday, June 14, 2005, Mega Millions drawing.

The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were: 14-29-31-37-50 and the Mega Ball number was 34.

The five tickets that won Mega Millions' second highest prize of $175,000 matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were sold in Maryland, New York (2), Texas and Virginia.

Mega Millions is played in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Officials in California have announced plans to join the fun beginning June 22.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
