Mega Millions Jackpot Rises to $64 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Even though there was not a jackpot prize winner in Friday's Mega Millions drawing, thousands of players throughout the eleven states won more than $3.3 million in other prizes. That includes eight tickets that each won $175,000 and 27 tickets that each won $5,000. The jackpot for the Tuesday, September 21, 2004 drawing is now estimated at $64 million.

The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were: 03-16-25-38-49 and the Mega Ball number was 04.

The eight tickets that each won $175,000 did so by matching the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. These winning tickets were sold in Illinois (1), Massachusetts (2), Michigan (1), New York (2), Ohio (1), and Texas (1).

Mega Millions is played in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, and Washington State. Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
