A total of 421,005 tickets from coast to coast won prizes in the Tuesday, October 04 drawing. That includes 6 tickets that each won $250,000. Since no ticket matched all six numbers, the jackpot for the Friday, October 7, 2005 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $53 million.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 12-24-28-29-36 and the Mega Ball number was 41. Here is a complete breakdown of the winning tickets:

Those 6 tickets that each won $250,000 did so by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York (2) and Ohio.
