Mega Millions Jackpot Rises to $32 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Mega Millions players from coast to coast are feeling the excitement as the jackpot continues to grow. When Tuesday's winning numbers were drawn, they turned 427,580 tickets into Mega Millions winners, including 4 tickets that each came within one number of hitting the jackpot. Now that jackpot is growing! Since no ticket matched all six numbers in Tuesday's drawing, the jackpot grows to an estimated $32 million for the Friday, September 30, 2005 drawing.

Those four tickets that only missed the Mega Ball number were purchased in California (2), New York and Texas.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
