Mega Millions Jackpot Rises to $31 Million

UNITED STATES -– (PRESS RELEASE) -- The jackpot in Mega Millions is growing -- and there is no shortage of winners! A total of 410,153 tickets from coast to coast won prizes in the Tuesday, March 7, 2006 drawing. That includes two tickets that each won $250,000. Since no ticket matched all six numbers, the jackpot for the Friday, March 10 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $31 million.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 15-27-36-38-42 and the Mega Ball number was 32.

Those two tickets that each won $250,000 did so by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. The tickets were purchased in Maryland and New York.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
