Mega Millions Jackpot Reaches $73 Million

UNITED STATES – (Press Release) -- Mega Millions players in eleven states are feeling the excitement as the jackpot continues to grow. When Tuesday's winning numbers were drawn, they turned 433,100 tickets into Mega Millions winners. Each of those tickets matched one of Mega Millions' nine prize levels. Since no ticket matched all six numbers, the jackpot grows to an estimated $73 million for the Friday, January 30, 2004 drawing.

Five Mega Millions tickets won $175,000 for matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. Three of those tickets were sold in Ohio, and one each in New Jersey and Virginia. In addition, 32 tickets won $5,000 each for matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 06-10-20-38-50 and the Mega Ball number was 27.
