Mega Millions Jackpot Reaches $66 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Friday's Mega Millions drawing brought out the winners from coast to coast! A total of 369,187 tickets won prizes ranging from $2 to $175,000. Although no ticket matched all six numbers to win the estimated $57 million jackpot, eight tickets each won $175,000 and 34 tickets each won $5,000. Now the excitement continues to build as the jackpot for the Tuesday, November 2, 2004 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $66 million.

The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were: 10-18-26-31-41 and the Mega Ball number was 48.

Those eight tickets that each won $175,000 did so by coming within just one number of hitting the jackpot. They matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were sold in Georgia (2), Illinois (1), New York (1), Ohio (2), Texas (1) and Virginia (1).

Mega Millions is played in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
