Mega Millions Jackpot Reaches $60 Million

UNITED STATES – (Press Release) -- With the largest jackpot in North America, the excitement is growing in Mega Millions! A total of 351,845 tickets in ten states were winners in the Tuesday, November 4, 2003 drawing. Each of them won prizes ranging from $2 to $175,000. Since no ticket matched all six numbers to win the estimated $50 million jackpot, that jackpot now grows to an estimated $60 million for Friday's drawing.

Tuesday's winning Mega Millions numbers were 16-24-43-44-45 and the Mega Ball number was 22. Four tickets came within just one number of hitting the jackpot. They matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number to each win $175,000. Two of those tickets were sold in New York, one in Georgia and one in Ohio.

Mega Millions is played in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Virginia and Washington. Officials in Texas have announced plans to join the fun beginning December 3, 2003. Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
