Mega Millions Jackpot Keeps Growing

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The excitement is growing in Mega Millions. So is the number of winners. A total of 375,201 tickets in eleven states won prizes in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing. Each of those tickets matched one of the nine different Mega Millions prize levels. But no ticket matched all six numbers to win the $55,000,000 jackpot. So the jackpot for the Friday, May 7, 2004 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $66 MILLION. Tuesday's winning Mega Millions numbers were 03-15-29-37-39 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 40.

6 tickets came extremely close to taking the jackpot. They matched the first five numbers and only missed the Gold Mega Ball number. Those tickets each win Mega Millions' second prize of $175,000. Those tickets were sold in: Georgia (3), Illinois(1), Massachusetts(1), and Virginia (1).
