Mega Millions Jackpot Grows to $86 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Friday, April 1 Mega Millions drawing really brought out the winners! A total of 526,951 tickets from coast to coast won Mega Millions prizes; including eight tickets that each won $175,000 and 42 tickets that each won $5,000. In fact, Mega Millions players won over $4 million in Friday's drawing. However, no ticket matched all six numbers to win the Mega Millions jackpot. That means the jackpot for the Tuesday, April 5, 2005 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $86 million.

Friday's winning numbers were: 11-19-28-32-45 and the Mega Ball number was 10.

Eights tickets won Mega Millions' second highest prize of $175,000 by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were sold in Georgia, Michigan, New Jersey, New York (3), Ohio and Washington. Mega Millions is played in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Officials in California have announced plans to join the fun later this year.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
