Mega Millions Jackpot Grows to $53 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The jackpot is growing once again Mega Millions. A total of 394,404 tickets from coast to coast were winners in the Friday, March 25, 2005 drawing. That includes one ticket that won $175,000 and 33 tickets that each won $5,000. Since no ticket matched all six numbers to win the $53 million jackpot, the jackpot for the Tuesday, March 29, 2005 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $63 million.

The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were: 11-18-19-45-49 and the Mega Ball number was 02.

The single ticket that won Mega Millions' second highest prize of $175,000 matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. That ticket was sold in New York. Mega Millions is played in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Officials in California have announced plans to join the fun later this year.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
