Mega Millions Jackpot Grows to $52 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Even though there was no jackpot winner in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, a lot of players still walked away winners. In fact, Mega Millions players in eleven states won a total of $2,964,361. That includes seven tickets that each won $175,000 and 26 tickets that each won $5,000. Now the estimated jackpot grows to $52 million for the Friday, August 20, 2004 drawing.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 22-23-26-28-36 and the Mega Ball number was 10.

The holders of those seven tickets can say they came VERY close to winning it all. They matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number to each win $175,000. Two of those tickets were sold in Michigan and one each in Georgia, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Texas.
