Mega Millions Jackpot Grows to $49 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The Friday, July 14, 2006 Mega Millions drawing generated excitement and winners! A total of 386,049 tickets from coast to coast won Mega Millions prizes, including one ticket that won $250,000. However, no ticket matched all six numbers to win the estimated $40 million jackpot. That means the jackpot for the Tuesday, July 18, 2006 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $49 million.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 13-25-26-28-56 and the Mega Ball number was 39.

One lucky ticket that won $250,000 did so by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. That ticket was purchased in Ohio.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
