Mega Millions jackpot grows to $30 million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Even though there was no jackpot winner in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, a lot of players still walked away winners. With nine different ways to win, a total of 357,329 tickets won prizes in the December 12 drawing. That includes two tickets that each won $250,000. Since no ticket matched all six numbers to take home the $22 million jackpot, that jackpot grows to an estimated $30 million for the Friday, December 15, 2006 drawing.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 20-30-31-35-49 and the Mega Ball number was 23.

The two tickets that each won $250,000 did so by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in Illinois and New Jersey.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
