Mega Millions Jackpot Grows

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- One ticket in Maryland won $250,000 and more than 319,000 tickets won other prizes, but no ticket matched five numbers plus the Mega Ball to win the estimated $12 million jackpot in the Friday, August 4, 2006 Mega Millions drawing. That means the jackpot for the Tuesday, August 8, 2006 Mega Millions drawing moves to an estimated $15 million.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 2-24-31-50-55 and the Mega Ball number was 44.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
