Mega Millions Jackpot Grows

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The jackpot is growing once again in Mega Millions. Less than a week after a ticket sold in Genoa, Ohio won an estimated $23 million jackpot, Mega Millions excitement is building. A total of 365,385 tickets from coast to coast were winners in the Friday, June 30, 2006 drawing, including one ticket that won $250,000. Since no ticket matched all six numbers, the jackpot for the Tuesday, July 4, 2006 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $14 million.

The winning numbers in Friday's drawing were: 20-40-46-48-54 and the Mega Ball number was 27.

The ticket that won $250,000 did so by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. It was purchased in New Jersey.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
