Mega Millions jackpot climbs

UNITED STATES –- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Even though there was no jackpot winner in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, a lot of players still walked away winners. With nine different ways to win, a total of 374,911 tickets won prizes in the January 16 drawing. That includes six tickets that only missed one number: the Mega Ball number. Since no ticket matched all six numbers to take home the jackpot, that jackpot grows to an estimated $25 million for the Friday, January 19, 2007 drawing.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 4-8-15-33-52 and the Mega Ball number was 10.

The six tickets that matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number were purchased in California, Illinois (2), New York, Texas and Virginia.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
