Mega Millions Jackpot at $105 Million

UNITED STATES – (Press Release) -- Everything is growing in the Mega Millions game -- the jackpot, the number of winners, the amount of prizes won, and the excitement! More than 535,000 tickets were winners in Tuesday's drawing. That includes eight tickets that each won $175,000 and 53 tickets that each won $5,000. No ticket matched all six numbers to win the estimated $90 million jackpot, so the jackpot for the Friday, April 9, 2004 drawing grows to an estimated $105 million.

The winning numbers in the Tuesday, April 6, 2004 drawing were: 08-17-29- 32-39 and the Mega Ball number was 49.

The eight tickets that each won the game's second highest prize of $175,000 came close to winning the jackpot. Each of these matched the first five numbers and only missed the last Mega Ball number. The tickets were sold in Illinois (1), New York (4), Ohio (2), and Texas (1).

Mega Millions is played in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington State. Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time, 10:00 p.m. Central Time, and 8:00 p.m. Pacific Time.
