Mega Millions Grows to $77 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Countless Mega Millions players had their eyes on the prize in the Tuesday, October 11 drawing. A total of 483,107 tickets won prizes, including 8 tickets that each won $250,000. No ticket matched all six numbers to win Tuesday's jackpot, so the jackpot for the Friday, October 14, 2005 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $77 million.

The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 24-30-42-53-54 and the Mega Ball number was 20.

Those 8 tickets that each won $250,000 did so by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. Two of those tickets were purchased Virginia; and one each in Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and Texas.

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
