Mega Millions Grows to $75 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Countless Mega Millions players had their eyes on the prize in the Tuesday, March 29 drawing. More than 379,000 tickets won prizes, including six tickets that each won $175,000 and 30 tickets that each won $5,000. No ticket matched all six numbers to win Tuesday's jackpot, so the jackpot for the Friday, April 1, 2005 Mega Millions drawing grows to an estimated $75 million. The winning numbers in Tuesday's drawing were: 07-17-18-30-42 and the Mega Ball number was 38.

Six tickets won Mega Millions' second highest prize of $175,000 by matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. The tickets were sold in Illinois, Michigan, New York (2), Ohio and Washington.

Mega Millions players won more than $3 million in Tuesday's drawing.

Mega Millions is played in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Officials in California have announced plans to join the fun later this year.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
