Mega Millions Grows to $34 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Mega Millions players from coast to coast are feeling the excitement as the jackpot continues to grow. When Friday's winning numbers were drawn, they turned 340,435 tickets into Mega Millions winners. Now that jackpot is growing! Since no ticket matched all six numbers in Friday's drawing, the jackpot grows to an estimated $34 million for the Tuesday, May 10, 2005 drawing.

Three Mega Millions tickets each won $175,000 in Friday's drawing for matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were purchased in Michigan, New Jersey and Virginia. In addition, 15 tickets each won $5,000 for matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball.

The winning numbers in the Friday, May 6, 2005 drawing were 07-12-25-50-51 and the Mega Ball number was 19.

Mega Millions players won more than $2.1 million in Friday's drawing.

Mega Millions is played in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Officials in California have announced plans to join the fun later this year.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
