Mega Millions Grow to $53 Million

UNITED STATES – (Press Release) -- There is no shortage of excitement or winners in Mega Millions. You only need to look at Tuesday's drawing for proof. Mega Millions players in eleven states won a total of $2,750,454. No ticket matched all six numbers to win the $43,000,000 jackpot, so the jackpot for Mega Millions drawing for Friday, March 26, 2004 grows to an estimated $53 MILLION.

Tuesday's winning Mega Millions numbers were 12-22-35-39-46 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 32.

6 tickets came close -- very close -- to winning the jackpot. They matched the first five numbers and only missed the Gold Mega Ball number. Those tickets each win Mega Millions' second prize of $175,000. The tickets were sold in: Massachusetts (1), New Jersey (2), New York (1), Texas (1) and Washington (1).

Officials in Virginia report that there is still no word from the $239 million Mega Millions jackpot winner from the February 20, 2004 drawing. The winning ticket was sold in Stephens City, Virginia from the Red Apple, located at 152 Fairfax Pike. Mega Millions is played in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
