Mega Million Jackpot Rises to $42 Million

ILLINOIS – (Press Release) -- Halloween may be a scary day for some people, but for Mega Millions players October 31 means an exciting drawing with a jackpot estimated at $42 million. With nine different ways to win, Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing produced more than 275,000 winning tickets. None of those winning tickets matched all six numbers to take the estimated $35 million jackpot. Mega Millions now has the largest jackpot in North America.

Tuesday's winning Mega Millions numbers were 06-09-20-40-47 and the Mega Ball number was 26. Three tickets each won Mega Millions' second highest prize of $175,000. They matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were sold in Georgia, Illinois and Washington.
