Mega Million Jackpot Reaches $40 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Mega Millions players from coast to coast are feeling the excitement as the jackpot continues to grow. When Tuesday's winning numbers were drawn, they turned 304,178 tickets into Mega Millions winners. Now that jackpot is growing! Since no ticket matched all six numbers in Tuesday's drawing, the jackpot grows to an estimated $40 million for the Friday, October 22, 2004 drawing.

Three Mega Millions tickets won $175,000 in Tuesday's drawing for matching the first five numbers and only missing the Mega Ball number. Those tickets were sold in New Jersey (1) and New York (2). In addition, 23 tickets won $5,000 each for matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball.

Tuesday's winning numbers were: 06-13-19-34-50 and the Mega Ball number was 33.
