Mega Million Jackpot Reaches $102 Million

UNITED STATES – (Press Release)-- Mega Millions players tried for an $85 million jackpot in Tuesday's drawing. Though no one took home the jackpot, there is good news. The Mega Millions top prize is now estimated $102 MILLION for the Friday, February 6, 2004 drawing. In addition to the jackpot excitement, a total of 586,173 tickets in eleven states matched one of the nine different Mega Millions prize categories for a total of $4,310,361 in prizes.

Tuesday's winning Mega Millions numbers were 9-21-26-35-41 and the Gold Mega Ball number was 17.

8 tickets came extremely close to winning the jackpot. Those sets of numbers matched the first five numbers and only missed the Gold Mega Ball number. Each ticket qualified to win Mega Millions' second prize of $175,000. The tickets were sold in: Illinois (2), New York (3), Ohio (1), Texas (1), and Virginia (1).

Mega Millions is played in Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington. Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 PM Eastern Time, 10:00 PM Central Time and 8:00 PM Pacific Time.
