Mega Million Jackpot Grows to $47 Million

UNITED STATES – (PRESS RELEASE) -- With more than 400,000 winning tickets in Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing, the excitement is starting to build. The jackpot is also building. No ticket matched all six numbers to win the estimated $37 million jackpot, but some came close! Five tickets each won $175,000 and 30 tickets each won $5,000. Now the jackpot for the Friday, July 23, 2004 drawing grows to an estimated $47 million.

Tuesday's winning numbers were 06-15-21-32-44 and the Mega Ball was 13.

Those five tickets that won $175,000 came within just one number of hitting the jackpot. They matched the first five numbers and only missed the Mega Ball Number. Two of those tickets were sold in New York. The other three were sold in Illinois, Texas and Virginia.

Mega Millions players won a total $2,820,244 in Tuesday's drawing.
