Mayor supports Mississippi casino

OCEAN SPRINGS, Mississippi – As reported by the South Mississippi Sun Herald: "Mayor Connie Moran stuck her neck out this week by publicly supporting a proposed casino by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians near Ocean Springs.

"She spoke in favor of the project Monday night at the Harrison County Council of Governments' monthly meeting.

"…The casino project could have positive economic benefits for Ocean Springs, she said, but she wants the tribe to detail how it would offset the impact costs…"
