Mayor supports Beloit casino proposal

SOUTH BELOIT — Mayor Randy Kirichkow has been tapped to attend a conference next week in Washington, D.C., when he and several Beloit representatives plan to praise a proposal for a Beloit casino.

"…Kirichkow, who will be in Washington on Wednesday, said he and Beloit officials will meet with representatives from the Interior Department's Bureau of Indian Affairs. He wasn't sure exactly what the presentation would entail.

"…The casino's proximity to South Beloit would draw traffic and business into the city, he said."
