Mattress Mack makes sports betting history7 November 2022(PRESS RELEASE) -- Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, the owner of Houston-based Gallery Furniture, made sports betting history over the weekend as the Houston Astros won the World Series. Mack won the largest payout on a single-sports bet in legalized sports wagering history of $30 million. The win stems from a bet placed with Caesars Sportsbook on 13 May 2022, of $3 million at 10/1. While this single payout is the largest in legal sports betting history, Mack had $10 million on the Astros in total to win $75 million. “What can we say? We just wrote the biggest check in sports betting history to Mattress Mack for $30,000,000,” said Ken Fuchs, COO, Caesars Digital. “Would we do it all again? You bet.
