Massachusetts task force looks to re-energize effortt1 August 2008LAKEVILLE, Massachusetts -- As reported by the Masasachusetts Standard-Times: "Faced with flagging attendance, the Southeastern Massachusetts Regional Task Force on Casino Impacts is looking to re-energize and, possibly, redefine itself. "Of the 17 community members of the task force, only five were represented at Wednesday night's meeting, where they struggled for ways to rekindle interest in the issue. "With the Mashpee Wampanoag's bid to develop a resort casino in Middleboro mired in the federal bureaucracy, there appears little of immediate concern, but chairman Nancy Yeatts, who also chairs the Lakeville Board of Selectmen, said the task force must keep up its guard.
