Massachusetts casino bill lacks votes12 March 2008TAUNTON, Massachusetts -- As reported by the Taunton Daily Gazette: " Despite efforts by Gov. Deval Patrick to convince state representatives to support his casino bill, few have been swayed, says Rep. Daniel Bosley, D-North Adams, the chair of the Economic Development Committee. "...After years of reviewing studies on the impacts of a casino, Bosley opposes the governor's casino proposal, but he's willing to listen to any ideas that promote good economic policy to the commonwealth — something, he says, the three resort casinos can't deliver. "...Governor Patrick estimates the casinos will bring the state $400 million in annual revenue, create 20,000 jobs and deliver a jolt of cash from three $200 million licensing fees. "...Rep.
