Mass. Senate votes to ban smoking throughout casinos25 June 2010MASSACHUSETTS -- The Senate voted to ban smoking in casinos yesterday, The Boston Globe reported. The vote was on an amendment to expanded gambling legislation and went against Senate leaders, who warned on big revenue loss to smoking permitted Connecticut casinos, The Boston Globe said. The debate on casinos was long and may reach its conclusion today but then would need reconciling with a House version of the bill, The Boston Globe report added. |
