Maryland Live! Casino announces executive appointments

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, Maryland -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- Robert J. Norton, President and General Manager of Maryland Live! Casino today announced key appointments to its executive management team for the new $500 million gaming and entertainment destination currently in development at Arundel Mills.

Mario Maesano has been named Vice President of Marketing, responsible for leading the development, implementation and execution of the Maryland Live! marketing initiatives, including branded marketing programs, group sales initiatives, player tracking/development, advertising, social media and public relations.

Ted Mazotas, Jr. has been named Vice President of Information Technology, responsible for the planning, installation and maintenance of a solid infrastructure and technology system, integrating complex software and hardware components that support all the needs of the casino.

Lynn A. Norris has been named Vice President of Human Resources, responsible for the management and direction of all aspects of company's staffing and recruitment efforts to fill more than 1,500 new jobs at the property; as well as employee relations, benefits, employee training/development, fair labor standards practices, worker compensation, and unemployment administration.

Executive Biographies

Mario Maesano - Mr. Maesano began his gaming career with Ameristar Casino, before embarking on a successful 11-year tenure with Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc., where he held senior marketing positions at several of the company's luxury casino resorts, including Belterra Casino Resort & Spa in Indiana, L'Auberge du Lac Resort & Casino in Lake Charles, LA, and Boomtown Casino in Bossier City, LA. He ultimately served as Regional Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Pinnacle's St. Louis properties, Lumière Place Casino & Hotels, River City Casino and President Casino, before joining Maryland Live! Casino. Mr. Maesano holds an MBA from Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. He currently resides in Baltimore, MD.

Ted Mazotas, Jr. - Mr. Mazotas has more than 23 years of Information Technology experience, operating and maintaining computing and telecommunication facilities, equipment and services for various casinos and technology companies throughout the U.S. A native of Hartford, CT, Mr. Mazotas served in the U.S. Navy for eight years before securing a position as Senior System Administrator with FourGen Software Technologies, Inc. He then held various IT positions for Regence Blue Shield, Intermec Technologies Corporation and Albertsons General Office before joining Ameristar as Director of IT for Cactus Petes Resort Casino and Horseshu Hotel & Casino in Jackpot, NV. Mr. Mazotas held a similar position at Indiana Live! Casino, before his promotion to join Maryland Live!. He currently resides in Anne Arundel County with his wife and two children.

Lynn A. Norris - Ms. Norris corporate career in human resources management with McDonald's USA spans more than 18 years, marked with steady progression through promotions and increased responsibility in the company's East Division. She was ultimately named Human Resources Director, based in Bethesda, MD. During her tenure, Ms. Norris played a pivotal role in shaping business strategies and supporting company-wide initiatives that impacted employee/talent development, performance management, staff training, benefits and compensation for more than 50,000 employees over a dozen markets. Her performance earned her the company's "Best in Class" award, an honor reserved for the top 5% of all McDonald's corporate employees. Ms. Norris holds an MBA from the University of Maryland. She currently resides in Germantown, MD.
