Many options for Milton Keynes casino

1 February 2007

UNITED KINGDOM – As reported by the Milton Keynes Today: "As high-rolling Milton Keynes celebrated its newly-won casino, the betting began on the likely location of the gambling arena.

"The city centre is favourite, but the Bowl and Stadium are among front runners for the venue, where punters will play roulette or poker or try their luck at any one of 150 fruit machines.

"But as the Government announced Milton Keynes as one of only 17 cities and towns to get casino licenses, MP Mark Lancaster urged that the facility should be away from the centre, 'so the decision to go would be a conscious one rather than simply attracting passing trade on a Saturday night'.

"…Possible sites have yet to be named, but MP Phyllis Starkey appealed to Culture

"…Within 24 hours of the announcement, four developers keen to open a casino in Milton Keynes contacted the Citizen to congratulate the city."
