Manitoba Removes Keno Monitors

WINNIPEG, Manitoba – As reported by the Canadian Press: "Manitoba Lotteries Corporation is removing nearly all of its controversial Keno monitors from convenience stories, malls and laundromats in Winnipeg.

"Corporation spokeswoman Susan Olynik says 68 of 71 television monitors offering Keno will be disabled by end of business today and removed shortly thereafter.

"…Olynik says the decision to remove the Keno terminals was sparked by public reaction and feedback from the province, all of which expressed concern that minors had access to the game…"
