Manitoba Casino Proponents Meet Deadline

WINNIPEG, Manitoba – As reported by the Canadian Press: "A native-run casino north of Winnipeg is one step closer to reality.

"The proponents behind Casino Grand Beach had until yesterday to prove to the Manitoba government that they have financial backing for their 15 million-dollar project.

"Tim Sale, the minister for gaming control, says the documents have been filed, and things look promising.

"…The casino is aimed at boosting the economy on and around the Brokenhead River native reserve…"
