Mandalay Bay hosts Alejandro Fernández19 February 2019(PRESS RELEASE) -- In celebration of Mexican Independence Day, Latin music legend Alejandro Fernández will return to perform at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino Events Center Sunday, 15 September at 8 p.m. Tickets ranging in price from $69 to $299, not including applicable service charges, go on sale to the public Friday, 22 February at 10 a.m. PT online. M life Rewards members and Live Nation and AXS customers will receive access to a pre-sale running Wednesday, 20 February from 10 a.m. PT through Thursday, 21 February at 10 p.m. PT. He first pursued a solo music career after the success of recording the hit song, “Amor de los dos,” with his father, Don Vicente. In 1992, his self-titled album was a huge success and broke record sales for the Ranchero genre. He surprised audiences with a fresh approach to traditional Mexican music, introducing the genre to many countries and people regardless of class or age, and has continued to maintain a connection with youth through his more than 14 million social media followers. Throughout his career Fernández has released 16 studio albums and six live albums, selling over 30 million albums around the world. He has received two Latin Grammys, three Latin Billboards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, among other notable honors. He has conquered international markets with notable collaborations with figures such as Vicente Fernandez, Plácido Domingo, José Carreras, Julio Iglesias, Gloria Estefan, Beyoncé, Nelly Furtado, Christina Aguilera, Juan Gabriel and Marc Anthony, among others. His “Confidencias World Tour” visited more than 15 countries over three years and was seen by more than three million fans.
