Manchester MPs sign super-casino petition

ENGLAND – As reported by the Blackpool Today: "Three Manchester MPs are among those who have signed a Commons motion calling for a review of the decision to award the super-casino licence to the city.

"So far 66 MPs have signed the Early Day Motion (EDM) tabled by the Fylde coast's four MPs. Labour's Barbara Keeley, who represents Worsley, and Jim Dobbin, MP for Heywood and Middleton, as well as Liberal Democrat Mark Hunter, whose constituency is Cheadle, are the three Greater Manchester MPs to have signed the EDM.

"It comes as The Gazette's Sign Up For Blackpool campaign - which is calling for Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell to review Blackpool's bid again ahead of the crucial Commons vote on the matter - reached 4,000 signatures of support…"
