Man Wins Largest California Slot Jackpot

CALIFORNIA – As reported by the Sacramento Bee: "A Sacramento man had been feeding dollars into a $1 slot machine at Thunder Valley Casino for about 20 minutes Saturday when, around 4:30 p.m., he hit the state's biggest casino jackpot ever - $12 million.

"In a phone interview, the man was nearly speechless and asked that neither he nor his employer be identified, but he said he was eager to get his wife on the phone to tell her the good news.

"…The record for the largest casino jackpot in the state had belonged to Southern California, where a 48-year-old woman won $5.5 million in December at Fantasy Springs Casino near Indio.

"…The jackpot hit Saturday was won on a progressive jackpot machine…"
