Man Torches Cars After Gambling Away Money

NEW GLASGOW, Nova Scotia – As reported by the Canadian Press: "A Nova Scotia man who set fire to a pair of vehicles after losing money on video lottery terminals has been placed on probation.

"Brian James Ivey, 23, of Westville, received 18 months probation after pleading guilty to two counts of mischief causing damage.

"…He said he left a pool hall last January, angry that he blew all of his money gambling on video lottery terminals.

"…Ivey, who has no prior record, admits to being addicted to the terminals…"
