Man Booked On Gambling Dad's Death

IWATA, Shizuoka – As reported by the Mainichi Daily News: ``A man was arrested over the death of his indebted father after four days of violent assault, police said.

"Shigeru Ogasawara, 39, a company employee of Iwata, is accused of inflicting bodily injuries. Ogasawara was furious at his father for accumulating gambling debts.

"…Ogasawara began beating his father in the spring of this year over debts that the elder Ogasawara had accumulated as a result of gambling losses…"
